The Beginning
My journey with gut issues started in December 2019. I had just finished my Master’s degree and was ready to start the next chapter of my life — but instead of starting a new career and enjoying my life, I was met with ever-worsening gut pain that no one could explain, while trying to build my career. I’d always been active, into the gym and sports, and thought I ate fairly well (though takeaways were my weak spot) so I would have never guessed something was seriously wrong with my gut.
Still, by March 2020, my symptoms had become severe enough to need invasive testing — but with hospitals overwhelmed by COVID, I couldn’t get seen. Eventually, after arranging tests in the private sector I had a MRI, CT scan, Endoscopy, and blood work, but nothing major showed up. I had some irritation to my stomach lining but that was put down to stress, so I carried on living as normal and trying my best to ignore the pain, thinking it would go if I reduced my stress.
The Diagnosis and the Search for Answers
Nearly a year later, after months of persistent pain, in April 2021 I finally had a colonoscopy and was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis.
I was prescribed Mesalazine and continued trying to live as normally as I could — enjoying my favourite foods and drinking alcohol. But a few months later,
I decided to start working with my first gut coach.
Experiment with Diet and Healing
From the moment the diagnosis changed to Crohn's, I knew I had to become more strict and go further with my understanding of nutrition. I went all in on a plant-based diet, studied how different foods affected me, though reactions were inconsistent (what worked one week didn’t the next), watched countless podcasts and debates, and read countless books. After a difficult period in the summer of 2024, I was made redundant from my job and flared badly. This prompted me to start working with another gut coach who took a slightly different approach to the one I had used the previous year. We worked together for around 6 months and I made real progress, but around Christmas I flared again, probably from a fairly stressful period at the time
I started diving deep into nutrition and gut health, realising how much of an impact diet could truly have and how little I actually knew.I began to get my smoothies going but
still ate out a fair bit and luckily didn't go through too many bad spells as a result of the medication. A couple of years later (August 2023), I decided to stop medication and see
if I could manage things solely through diet. Initially, I saw progress — but in April 2024, another colonoscopy revealed my condition had spread and was reclassified as Crohn’s disease.
That moment changed everything for me.
In the new year I started working with a new coach, this time with a different strategy. I worked with him for 3 months before my symptoms worsened with reactions to foods being worse than when we started and gut pain that was worsening. I couldn't understand why certain foods were causing problems one week and not the next. I decided to stop working with coaches and begin working with a functional lab in London.
Learning and Testing Everything
In May 2025, I began working with a functional health practitioner. I had my microbiome, SIBO, and organic acid levels tested, all of which showed imbalances. We created a supplement and diet plan alongside a short course of steroids arranged by my IBD team, and for a time, I felt good.
A few months later, around my birthday, the pain returned. I suspected one of the supplements might be contributing, so I paused them — and the pain eased. I stopped working with the functional lab around August, and in September I had another colonoscopy. Despite doing everything “right,” inflammation had worsened in some areas.
The Turning Point
I realised that true healing isn’t about strict rules or chasing the next “fix.” It’s about balance — understanding your body, your triggers, and the science behind nutrition.
Over the years, I’ve spent thousands of pounds working with different coaches, specialists, and programs, all promising answers.
That was confronting. It forced me to step back, shut out the noise, and focus on what actually worked for me. By this point, I had been formally studying nutrition since December 2024 and began to see something different: there was a way to reintroduce foods, and some of the foods previously demonised by past coaches were starting to work wonders. I realised that resolving intolerances wouldn’t come from copying someone else’s protocol — it would come from understanding my own body.
Out of everyone I worked with, only one person truly made a lasting difference. That experience taught me what it feels like to be overwhelmed by conflicting advice, to waste time and money searching for clarity that never comes, and to feel like there’s nowhere left to turn. It’s also why I’m so passionate about helping others cut through the noise.
From Corporate to Coaching
I hadn’t originally planned to become a PT or Nutrition Coach. Before my health seriously deteriorated, I was building a successful corporate career — climbing the ladder and developing skills in sales and business development. I wanted to contribute to making the natural world a better place through business, but over time it became clear I could no longer divert my attention away from health and fitness. That’s where my energy, passion, and purpose were pulling me.
Finding My Own Approach
Over time, I took elements from every practitioner, every method, and every experience — and began to shape my own approach: one that blends evidence-based nutrition, lifestyle strategy, and a deep understanding of the individual.
With patience and a more balanced, personalised approach, I was finally able to reintroduce foods I once couldn’t tolerate — something that had previously felt impossible. It reinforced a lesson I now stand by: progress isn’t always linear, but with the right strategy and mindset, it is possible.
Creation of Eat2Wynn and Move2Wynn
That’s when Eat2Wynn and Move2Wynn were born — not just as businesses, but as a mission. They allow me to manage my own condition while helping others overcome health struggles, build confidence, and regain control of their wellbeing. I know what it feels like to feel lost, frustrated, and out of options
I made the decision to leave the corporate world and dedicate myself fully to this path. I studied and qualified as a Level 5 Nutrition Coach and Level 3 Personal Trainer, combining formal education with lived experience to build a practical, results-driven foundation.
Through both study and lived experience, I developed a deep understanding of how supplements, nutrients, and food timing can support different bodies and conditions. Weight loss, Crohn’s, and chronic health challenges are complex — and what works for one person won’t necessarily work for another. I had to walk that path myself to truly understand what works.
My mission is to help others understand how food can work for them — whatever their goals may be.
That’s why my coaching focuses on cutting through confusion, finding what truly works for you, and building sustainable habits that last. Healing starts with what we eat and drink — and with the right approach, you really can take back control of your health.
